Luxury Hotel Photography in Mallorca

For General Managers, Sales & Marketing and Guest Experience

Your property stages its architecture.
I stage your guests.

Sarah Bakker is an editorial photographer and creative director based in Mallorca. For luxury hotels, resorts, boutique properties and private fincas on the island she offers three formats: a bookable editorial experience your property sells as an upgrade, curated editorial events on site, and editorial content creation at magazine level for your own channels. Published in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Tatler and Vanity Fair.

The finest properties in the world photograph their suites, their pools and their terraces to perfection. And overlook their strongest story: the people living inside them. That is where properties differentiate today.

My work starts there. I show your guests in the most beautiful light, in the most beautiful place of their journey, at editorial level. At the same time your property gains a visual world no classic hotel shoot can deliver.

Format I · For your guests

Guest Editorial Experience

Your property offers its guests an exclusive editorial shoot: as a suite upgrade, as part of a package, or as a gift for an occasion. With a stylist on site, custom-made looks on request and a personal lookbook. For the guest it becomes the highlight of the stay. For your property it is an additional revenue stream and a reason to return.

Format II · For your property

Editorial Event

A curated day with several shooting stations, a lounge area and one leitmotif built around the DNA of your property. Closed for your own guest list, or with limited ticket sales for external guests. It brings new audiences into the house, fills softer dates and produces magazine-level content in a single day.

Format III · For your channels

Editorial Content Creation

A visual story for the property itself: people in your rooms instead of empty rooms. For your website, campaigns, suite launches, social media, newsletters and press kit. Planned like a fashion editorial, with moodboard, route and casting. Moving image and reels straight from set on request.

The business case

Why this pays off for your property

Additional revenue per stay. The editorial experience is a high-value upgrade your property can sell actively, without building a single additional room. The revenue comes from space you already own.

A reason to come back. A woman who saw herself that way for the first time in your house connects that feeling with your address. That is guest retention through emotion instead of discount.

Content you keep using. Every collaboration produces imagery for website, campaigns, social media and press. Scope and usage rights for the property imagery are agreed in writing beforehand.

Visibility beyond your guest list. Guests share editorial images differently than phone snapshots. Add the channels of the women involved, often with strong reach in exactly the audience you want.

A format that carries the shoulder season. Editorial events work particularly well outside peak season: the light is better, the property has capacity, and the event itself becomes the reason to travel to Mallorca.

A level that matches yours. Published in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Tatler and Vanity Fair, with an own cover story at Moevir Paris. More than 1500 women photographed since 2019.

Working together

How it works

From the first message to the finished imagery there are five steps. Your property keeps control of scope, dates and appearance at every moment.

The path to your editorial experience

  1. 01A conversation with the property: guest profile, goals for the season, the right format. No obligation, by video or in person
  2. 02A lookbook for your address only: motifs, light windows, rooms, routes. Not transferable
  3. 03Proposal and framework: scope, dates, team size, usage rights, plus the commercial model for your property
  4. 04The day on site: my full team, inside your operations, with no additional workload for your staff
  5. 05Delivery: your guests receive their editorial story, your property the agreed imagery for its own channels

Visions for your property

What an editorial experience can look like in your house

Every property shows me different possibilities. A Golden Hour Rooftop Edition above the roofs of Palma. A White Linen Edition at the infinity pool. Suite Stories, where every suite becomes its own visual universe. A Yacht Edition off the coast, with the last light on the water.

What stays the same: close coordination beforehand and one thread that holds the level of the day.

FAQ

What does Sarah Bakker offer luxury hotels in Mallorca?

Three formats. First, a guest editorial experience: an exclusive editorial shoot the property offers its guests as an upgrade or package. Second, an editorial event on site: a curated day with several shooting stations, closed for your guest list or with limited ticket sales. Third, editorial content creation: a visual story for the property's own channels, campaigns and press work. All three run with a fixed team of photographers, videographers, stylists and content creators.

How does an editorial experience pay off for a hotel?

In three ways. As additional revenue per booked experience or inside a higher-value package, without the property creating additional space. Through guests who stay longer or return because of the experience. And through the imagery itself, which the property then uses for website, social media, campaigns and press. Scope and usage rights for the property imagery are agreed in writing beforehand.

Which properties in Mallorca is this designed for?

Five-star hotels, boutique hotels, resorts, agroturismos and private fincas with a signature of their own, from Palma along the west coast into the Serra de Tramuntana. Size is not the deciding factor. Ambition is: properties that want to stage their guests, not just accommodate them.

How is this different from classic hotel photography?

Classic hotel photography shows architecture, rooms and facilities, meaning the space. I show the people inside it: your guests at editorial level, staged like a fashion story. The result is twofold: an experience your guests talk about, and imagery in which your target guests recognise themselves. A pure architecture shoot delivers neither.

Who is on site on the day of the shoot?

Depending on the format, my full team: editorially trained photographers, videographers for moving image and reels straight from set, content creators for behind the scenes, award-winning stylists and, on request, designers for custom-made looks. We work inside your operations, so your staff carries no additional workload.

How much lead time does an editorial event need?

Lead time is agreed individually. An editorial event usually needs several weeks, because the lookbook, the team allocation and any custom-made looks have to be in place first. A single guest editorial experience can be arranged at much shorter notice. In high season, an early enquiry is worthwhile.

Which languages does Sarah Bakker work in?

German, English and Spanish. Coordination with management, sales and guest experience runs in whichever language suits your property best.
